Last night unlikely YouTube sensation Ken Burton, who is viewed by critics as the most unskilled gamer to ever obtain a contract with gaming video site Machinima.com, aired a special episode of The Ken Burton Show on the company’s gameplay-exclusive channel. I am both happy and slightly ashamed to reveal that I was in fact part of that broadcast. There are a range of options and since Google Chrome entered the market it’s become somewhat cool to experiment beyond your pre-installed Internet Explorer or Safari. We Really Do Need Major Music Labels (Part One)

When was the last time you heard a song you knew would become an instant classic? When I ask myself this question I think back to the summer of 2006 and the Kooks’ hit anthem ‘Naive’, a song which resonated with my hormonal teen desires. Or perhaps something from Radiohead’s latest effort, ‘In Rainbows’, a masterpiece that ushered in a new philosophy around distribution: the ‘pay what you want’ model. I saw the band in concert the next year and it was a truly mind-blowing performance. Since that show, though, I have seen only The Chemical Brothers in concert at Kensington Olympia – that’s one show in almost two years. From somebody who once loved music and embroiled himself in its culture I have rather begun to seep away into the bathroom rug and there stagnate. So evidently something has changed. Last Night’s Question Time (15.07.10)

In uncharacteristic fashion, last night’s Question Time from Bexhill-on-Sea proved a rather undignified affair to behold. It certainly made for particularly irritable viewing at times as David Dimbleby struggled to maintain control of proceedings while shadow health secretary Andy Burnham and Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude squabbled like spoilt children from his left and right flanks respectively.
